The averages Trip advisor reports for Location, Cleanliness, Service, and Value are about right, as is the 7.8 on booking com. The room I was given (on the first floor) was well appointed (separate toilet and shower, good bed, small but workable writing desk, large safe, etc.) The tv had only French-language channels with the exception of channel 100 which features BBC programming. The view was nothing to write about which was fine with me. The wifi was stable throughout. It stopped working on the morning of the second day for reasons I then did not understood. When I called the frontdesk I was told that it worked for them and that I just should wait it out. What? Turns out the problem is that you have to sign in every day anew. I figured it finally out. Alas, one would hope that the front-desk knows this problem which I am sure other guests have also encountered. Overall, the service is ok though. The brekkie was .. modest. The coffee was of variable quality, the scrambled eggs were ... pitiful, ... and there was not much selection. I guess, you get what you pay for (12 Euros). You can work there though since he wifi is stable there, too. The location of the hotel is very good; the place is a 10 - 15 Euro taxi ride away from Gare de Lyon and the Bercy bus station. Importantly, within 100 meter radius there is about half a dozen (mostly) Vietnamese eating places which are all quite good (e.g., the friendly and inexpensive banh place to the left of the hotel and the outstanding and very inexpensive Chinese "crazy noodles" place to the right. Try both.) There is another hotel not far away that I prefer and typically stay in which is better along all dimensions (ask me), and offers better value, but the Paris-Italie is a creditable fall-back option.

Friendly hotel to stay we alway go here when we are in france 🇫🇷 love it . And it is handy for the metro station and restaurants . We love this place there is also a shopping mall nearby I like to people watch with a cup of coffee

Our stay was amazing and the hotel was very very beautiful.. !!! The room was always clean!! The stuff at the reception was very kind and helpful, we would like to thank especially the lady that was there on the weekend, she is a great person!!!

My friend and I arrived at the hotel on Wednesday at noon and left on Saturday morning. During our arrival, the room wasn’t fully ready since there were still used dirty tissues inside of the trash bin. We noticed the stinky smell and reported to the receptionist later on. Here was our conversation: - Good evening sir! Could you please send someone to replace our trash bin ASAP. It’s been smelly since we first arrived. - Sorry what? - My trash bin sir. There was dirty tissue in it. You didn’t clean it properly. - Me? That’s not my responsibility. - Alright clearly that’s your colleague’s, but the hotel should be responsible right? - Well why wouldn’t you report it earlier? Now all of them (the housekeepers) are off duty. (he spoke with the annoyed tone of voice) - Huh we were tired and needed some rest. Ain’t we telling you now? (I’ve got irritated too) - Okay you bring it here I’ll change it for you. - Excuse me? Me? Bringing the dirty trash bin downstairs? - Yes! There’s security policy so that I can’t leave my desk. - There’s no way you can ask a customer to do so! I can wait until tomorrow morning for a replacement. Anyways that’s really bad! Then we left. Days after days, we were expecting someone to come and clean the room, or at least the trash bin. But none of them did. I still saw that guy the day after but he didn’t even mention anything further. Our conversation was with the black middle-aged receptionist, around 9 PM, Wednesday 23th of September 2020. Fairly speaking, the hotel’s location is perfect. Within 2 minutes walking distance to the metro/bus station. Nearby supermarkets, Asian restaurants or Western-styled cafe. However, it couldn’t help them from the amazingly lousy service.

This hotel is situated in the middle of many asian restaurants. There are also fastfood chains like mcdonalds and KFC infront of the hotel. There is also an asian supermarket just across the hotel. I believe there is also a mall on the other side of the street but we werent able to visit because of our tight schedule. The rooms are small but manageable. The bathroom is clean but some tiles are broken. They also dont have much free toiletries just a soap. We didnt avail breakfast since there are lots of different choices outside. It is also walking distance to the trainstation. We just encountered a little confusion upon check out as we inform the front desk officer that we consumed 1 cola in the minnie fridge and we will be paying it by cash. He check on his computer and told us that no need to pay as its for free. But after a minute it was charge on our credit card. We werent able to clarify because we are on a hurry for our uber ride. Overall we are still happy with our stay.
